I’m a Performance and Wellbeing Coach.
I support busy healthcare professionals, and others in demanding and stressful jobs, to find success and balance in their careers and lives.
Wondering why?
I didn’t start out as a coach. In 2000, I qualified as a doctor at King’s College London and spent the next 20 years building my career. I specialised in palliative care, leading dedicated teams in hospices and the community in the UK.
Then came a big move to Dubai with my husband and our two young daughters. There, I took on a major challenge, setting up a palliative care service, while still finding my feet as an expat in a new and very different country.
The juggle of competing demands
Throughout my time in medicine, I experienced the juggle of demands at work and at home. Sometimes, I felt I’d found a happy balance, other times not so much.
Being a healthcare professional is immensely rewarding, but the workload can be hectic, the hours long, and schedules inconsistent...I could go on.
It did not seem that career success, balance and happiness could be compatible.
I’m here to tell you that they can be!
